Meditation Class

9th - 30th August

This 6 week meditation class will teach you the foundation of meditation. 


Its focus is to help you to take some time to just sit still especially when you have the urge and craving to move.  Meditation is not about stopping or resisting your thoughts coming in but instead to see them just as thoughts coming and going like rain running down a window on a wet day or clouds passing by on sunny day, recognising them just as thoughts and that those thoughts are not you.  Meditation also helps you to notice your instant reaction to your thoughts and feelings and because you are simply sitting still and breathing your body cant react and with practice this helps you stay more calm and centered in your day to day life.

This isn't a physical practice so it is suitable for EVERYONE.  There will be no asana's or movement in the class.  We will start with 15 - 20 minutes of seated meditation, with guided body awareness, with moments of quiet, the quiet moments will gradually increase each week.  Followed by lying meditation and savasana to allow for true healing to occur within the body.
